2019 TRI-HENLEY OPEN WATER TRIATHLON

The Tri-Henley Open Water Triathlon returned to the superb grounds of Shiplake College, on the banks of the River Thames, on Sunday 2 June 2019. Open to junior triathletes aged from seven to 18, and a key event in the South Central Super Series, this proved to be a MUST-ENTER event in the 2019 calendar.

We are very appreciative of the positive feedback we received from parents whose children entered the event.

Just want to say thank you for yesterday.
It was our first time at this event and we were doing a bit of a trial for the Isle of Wight Triathlon Club.
We will be back in numbers next year I am sure (plus my daughter will eventually be able to enter TriStart after being dragged around for the last year!)

We absolutely loved the event.
My son, in TS2, said it was an excellent (but tough) race and my daughter in tristarts was given so much encouragement and support to help calm her nerves that she smiled throughout the race and said she'd definitely like to do it again.

Good to see you on Sunday. Just to say thanks for putting on the event again; my three all enjoyed it - great setting and just a bit different with the river swim!

During the start of TS1, there was a girl who was visibly concerned.
One of the marshals pointed this out to a lady in a wetsuit who talked her into getting into the water.
This is what this sport is all about and so fantastic to see.
What was even more amazing is that I saw the child came 8th overall! What an achievement after the concern!
